How do i change radiator coolant on a 96 Pontiac Grand Prix?

My Low Coolant light keeps flashing and I need to figure out how to stop it. My radiator is full and so is the resevoir tank. The manual says something about a bleed off valve. Please help by giving me step by step directions. Can you completely drain the radiator, like at the bottom of the radiator? How do i change radiator coolant on a 96 Pontiac Grand Prix?there should be a drain at the bottom of the radiator that you open up,remove the cap,and loosen the drain and get all that you can from it,to get it all from the engine on the side of the engine block, there's a bolt on either side of the block that will drain that, this should get all of the old coolant out, then you re-tighten everything back up,and start re-filling it all, have at least two gallons on hand when doing this, and use a 50/50 mix in it at all times, start it and makes sure its 100% full after it reaches operating temperature, good luck on it.How do i change radiator coolant on a 96 Pontiac Grand Prix?your welcome.

How do i change radiator coolant on a 96 Pontiac Grand Prix? The bleed off valve is to release trapped air in the system. It should be located on top of the thermostat housing. But that would not set off the light. Look for a loose or disconnected wire near the overflow tank. It might have a low level indicator that got disconnected. How do i change radiator coolant on a 96 Pontiac Grand Prix?Sound's like you may have a problem with the coolant level sensor or perhaps you're reservoir doesn't have enough coolant in it and when you are moving or turning it's causing it to flash. You can drain the radiator from the petcock at the bottom. It kind of looks like a wingnut.
