I race 4 cylinder race cars. I was planning on changing out the plain water in my radiator to put antifreeze in for the winter. My car won't start and I know it is the computer that needs to be replaced. Since I can't start it I filled the radiator full of antifreeze but cannot start it to run it through the motor. I was going to remove the freeze plug. can someone tell me how too. or something i could do instead. How do you remove a freeze plug on a 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse?it might be easier to take the timing/ serpentine belt off the pulley's and turn the water pump by hand to circulate the fluid, because taking the plugs out and replacing them can be a pain, while the belt only takes like 10 mins to remove. How do you remove a freeze plug on a 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse?I have a 98 eclipse turbo, and chnging the freeze plug is a pain in the butt. I don't recommend doing that just to drain your engine, I did, but I was rebuilding engine and it was all taken apart. You must drill a hole in plug, screw a screw in it and pull the old one out, and then pound the new one in, but you can't pound it too hard or it will fall into the engine( by the way, that happened), and you have to pound it enough to get it to seal, and not stick out. The only reason I changed it is because it was damaged and leaking from taking old turbo off. Do you have a haynes manual that covers the 4g63 engine? I have one for the 2nd generation 4g63, but not the 1st gen. It tells you how to drain water from the block, but I can't find mine right now or I would tell you. I know there is a way.How do you remove a freeze plug on a 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse?Put the car in a heated garage until it thaws or use a salamander heater to thaw your engine. Remove the lower radiator hose to drain the water. Replace with a mixture of 50/50 anti-freeze/water.
Quit asking the same question over and over.
