How to completly flush my cooling system 1996 mazda 626?

i mazda has been over heating the highway and have changed the thermostat and water pump and radiator cap everyone tells me to completely flush the cooling system. well i bought a flush kit from autozone and it tells me to cut a hose and insert the T connector but i do not know what hose from the firewall i should be cutting and inserting it into! there are several hoses that come out from the firewall and they are a bit confusing. if someone can please give me some direction i would be very greatful! How to completly flush my cooling system 1996 mazda 626?If you get one of those kits from an auto parts store and follow the directions it will do a great job. They sell a cleaner that you add to your coolant that will work most of the buildup loose. They do not just clean the heater core. It will clean the entire motor water circuit. But you must follow the instructions. I have one in every vehicle I own and use them every year. There are two heater hoses from the water pump. You may need a repair manual to figure out which one you need. It won't work as well if you put it in the wron hose. Most of them are between 1/2 and 3/4 in dia. Hope this gets you heading in the right direction. Any other questions contact me...... Good luck. How to completly flush my cooling system 1996 mazda 626?cut the heater hose that does not go to the water pump. but that kit is only going to flush the heater core for the most part.

The radiator is plugged (probably) and you need to back flush that with no more than 20 PS!.

stop by a hardware store and get from the hose size down to a picket size, then go nuts.

Flush it back and forth until it runs clear.

I have tried those %26quot;kits%26quot; that they sell and have never had one work.

Unless you have used some stop leak in the car, the radiator is probably gooped up with calcium and that auto parts store crap will not work. you could try some vinegar and an overnight soak, or some true acidic acid, but it gets dicey at best. remember that you radiator is not working so its not like you can get any worse..... right?

I have to change my water pump on 1998 Dodge Dakota.?

Do I need to take the radiator out?

How do I get the fan off the pump? There is a big nut on it,Do I turn it to get off?Another other details please to make it easier.

ThanksI have to change my water pump on 1998 Dodge Dakota.?you don't have to remove the radiator on that one,but if you do it gives you a lot more room to work in,and on the nut most parts stores sells the wrench that removes the nut and holds the fan at the same time, ask at any advance or auto zone store and they will either rent you one or sell you one for the job,if you plan on doing this much id buy the tool ,it doesn't cost much more to buy it than to rent it ,and its kind of handy to have around, good luck.I have to change my water pump on 1998 Dodge Dakota.?leave the rad in it Yes you have to take the fan off with the nut, its easier to do with a hammer and chisel and leave the belt on until you get the nut broke loose remove the fanshroud and fan at the same time so you dont hit the radiator also take the time to change the bypass hose while the pump is offI have to change my water pump on 1998 Dodge Dakota.?Since you will want to drian the coolant anyway, thherwise it will leak all over, removing the radaitor will give you better acess to the front of the truck. it will also give you the room to work and not damage the radaitorI have to change my water pump on 1998 Dodge Dakota.?The Steps involved are quite extensive. I would pick up the repair guide from your locate auto parts store to assist you with the step by step instructions.I have to change my water pump on 1998 Dodge Dakota.?jp#5 is correct. Also I would but a new thermostat and gsk on it too.

I just found out my car has problems with the radiator and transmission fluid. can u help me?

I went to jiffy lube today to get an oil change. they checked all of my fluids and the guy told me my radiator's about toast. He couldn't get any coolant from the radiator cap OR the overflow tank and in the bottom was brown muck that looked remarkably like mud. as for my transmission fluid, IT WAS BLACK! what can i do and how? (provide details)I just found out my car has problems with the radiator and transmission fluid. can u help me?If you are going to Jiffy Lube I assume you typically don't work on your own vehicle(s). Either way, regarding the engine cooling system obviously as you see it needs to be flushed. I really wouldn't recommend doing this job yourself. Not because it is difficult but because it is messy and best done with a power flush machine to be thorough. So if you agree, given the severity of the condition I would have a mechanic power flush the cooling system and check it for leaks. Power flushing can present leaks that would otherwise be stopped with that mud and scale in your radiator now. Make sure they wash out the overflow bottle also. I have seen customers come back to the shop because debris that was missed discolored the coolant. Letting someone do this service for you keeps you clean and gets you back on the road with a service warranty too. Extended life coolant (colored other than green) can last 100k miles if it isn't contaminated. After this service I would plan to check and possibly change your coolant every 24 to 30k miles. Otherwise you may be looking at accelerated breakdown of system components like water pump bearings, hoses and other plumbing, heater core, etc...Particularly considering the current condition.

Assuming when you say “fluid” the transmission or transaxle is an automatic. Regarding the %26quot;black%26quot; transmission fluid or oil, black particulate is clutch friction material (paper) as opposed to shiny particulate (metals). Both are normal within limits but may, or may not be indicative of a problem. Unless you are feeling slip, experiencing shuddering, or hearing clunking noises from the powertrain or specifically the transmission I would just service the transmission if you haven’t already. A full service mechanic as opposed to a Jiffy Lube technician is more likely to be able to tell you the condition of the transmission based on the debris in the bottom of the pan. It would depend on the experience of the Jiffy Lube technician though. They provide services not a diagnosis or repair solution. The fluid and filter (if serviceable) should be replaced roughly every 12k miles. Check your owner’s manual though.I just found out my car has problems with the radiator and transmission fluid. can u help me?sounds like your mixing the anti-freeze with the transmission fluid.you need to change the radiator and change the transmission fluid and filter.

I was taking the cylinder off and forgot too drain the radiator fluid so now I have radiator fluid in the bottom end how do i get that out and how do I change the oil how much new oil is required and what kind/??How to change oil on a 1999 KTM 250sx?There is a drain plug on the bottom of the case. It is gear oil. If you go to the local bike shop they will have a selection of different brands. I have always used silkolene. If I remember correctly it will take about 1 quart or a little over. There is a fill window on the side of the case. This oil should be changed rather often. I used to change mine after 2 to 3 times out riding.
